LIFE & HISTORICAL EVENTS

Dallas (Dall) Miller was born in Glendale Springs, North Carolina.

Around age 17 he moved to Dayton where he soon started working at National Cash Register (NCR).

Dall was called for military duty and shipped to Korea.  Somewhere over in those hills Dal promised the Lord that if He would get him out of that place and bring him back home, he would commit his life to Him.  Except for a couple little scratches and a bullet through the back that only missed his spine by less than an inch, Dall returned home safely.

Naomi started playing the piano for the group and her and Dall were soon married on November 1, 1956.

GOSPEL MUSIC MINISTRY

Sometime in the late 1940s, Dall started singing with Earl and Mary Hazelbaker.

In the early 1950s, Dall sang with his cousin and his brother.

Dall later sang in a trio with a couple of other people at the Mia Avenue Pentecostal church.

In 1955, Dall got together with three other men and formed the Southern-Aires Quartet.  Traveling throughout the Midwest Dall managed the Southern-Aires singing the baritone part until 2012 when after having a stroke he was unable to continue traveling with the group.   He still shows up from time to time uplifting the crowd as he performs a song with the group.
