LIFE & HISTORICAL EVENTS
Dan R. Hubbard was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He started taking piano in the third grade and continued until he was a freshman in high school.
Dan was married to Dell Peters on June 19, 1974.
In 1990 he moved back to Kentucky where he developed a career in Christian Advertising at Paragon Advertising located in northern Kentucky.
GOSPEL MUSIC MINISTRY
In 1956, his senior year in High School, he formed a part time group singing in most of the southern states.
Dan joined the Rhythm Masters Quartet out of Birmingham, Alabama, one of the oldest groups in the United States, and in 1964, before disbanding, they traveled over 100,000 miles.
Later Dan entered the field of radio as an announcer and in December of 1964 became Station Manager and Chief Engineer for radio station WBIB in Bibb County, Alabama.
While living in Alabama Dan was minister of music at Brent Baptist Church.
In 1967, after relocating to Ohio, he again entered the recording field by joining K&S Recording Studio as engineer located in Cincinnati.
Dan connected with Homer Milan and they formed a new quartet called the Rhythm Masters based out of Cincinnati. In 1972 he sold the group to Carrol Rawlings.
Owner/Manager of several radio stations, Dan would take radio stations that where in a financial bind and bring them back to life. This included KKRE which was the first all music Christian station in the United States, and the following:
In 1977 he managed the Denver, Colorado radio station KBRN. While living in Colorado he held gospel concerts at the Air Force Academy
In 1980 he returned to Erlanger, Kentucky to manage radio station WHKK.
In 1982 he managed the Beaumont, Texas radio station KDVE
In 1984 he was privileged to own the Monument, Colorado radio station
